With the purchase of every bag, you’re supporting a community of talented artisans—spinners, stitchers, weavers, printers, dyers and the families they provide for. It’s small-batch craftsmanship with a BIG impact—an ethical partnership beautiful in product AND process.
Hand-Spun Cotton
Our products are made with only 100% natural cotton in order to produce yarn of the highest quality, rendered in its most natural
state. These artisanal yarns are then delicately spun on traditional Charkha spinning wheels in a rustic village of friends and fellow
artisans. In contrast to the uniformity of factory threads, each strand has its unique texture, every fiber its storied origin.
Hand-loomed
Our linens are artfully woven in a small community of highly skilled artisans. Each piece is its own declaration of the artist’s expression; of their careful labor and impassioned process.
Indigo
Our Shibori bags are steeped in all-natural indigo dye;
a fully organic compound prized for its calling card blue.
Manually extracted from leaves of indigofera tinctoria,
these regal dyes are sourced directly from the earth—miles
from any assembly line—with abundant respect for nature
and her resources.
Hand-blocked printing
All of our natural cotton bag liners are styled in the ancient technique of hand block printing to create intricate designs unique to each.
Hand-stitched
Our hand-woven, hand-loomed fabrics are expertly stitched
to locally sourced leather by teams of talented artisans,
specialized in this very craft.
Gentle on the environment
In a process of scrupulous sustainability, our organic indigo is processed sans electricity and rendered strictly with recycled water.
